Workout update, friends delemma

I have made slight changes to my workouts, I still an doing the “H2H: Kettlebell Circuits” by Jeff Martone, but I've lowered the poundage from the 53lb KB to the 35lb one. I have done this because I also increased the circuit time to @ 9 minutes. Then I go into my "workout", which rotates between 2 workouts. The example of one is squats 2x20+, rest 2-3 minutes between sets, superset [or at the same time] renegade rows with pushups 3 sets each, 3 sets of double kettlebell clean and press, finish with 2 sets to failure of curls with the blob. I next plan on adding as a finishing move to my workouts clean and presses with a stone that I just ordered from Atomic Health. The combination of the H2H and the clean and press will force me to make some changes to my "workout", which I will include in a posting. I know that all 3 phases of my training is a workout, but I think everyone knows what I mean when I say the "workout" portion. Maybe I should just say the meat and potatoes.
A friend of mine since way back when has CF. We have always teased him about it since childhood, not in a bad way, but in a way that if we didn't he would think something is wrong.[He is @36 now] He has never really used it as an excuse not to do anything, except when it would put him in the hospital, which it did recently. Then he would use that as a lame excuse not to do anything [had to add that incase he reads this :) ] He has been told he needs to add some muscle mass, which creates his dlemma, when he breaths hard he breaks blood vessels in his lungs then its back to the hospital. So far I have suggested taking supplements with grape seed, as they will improve blood vessel strength, amongst other supplements. As for the workout that is hard on 2 fronts. One being the breathing: for this I suggested a using slow training methods, starting with only 1 set per body part to start. The second front is his stubborness, he keeps wanting to concentrate on his arms, [see previous post], I think once he gets past the "curls for the girls" idea he will be just fine. If anyone has any suggestions feel free to post.
Thanks until next time train hard!
