"The shoe that fits one man pinches another"

I was recently reading a workout book, ["Infinite Intensity", by Ross Enamait] when a friend commented to me on my reading up on yet another workout. If you read my blog you know I change workouts often, although I am on week 10 of my current, the "Enter The Kettlebell Workbook" If you want a challenge for your body get that workbook! [2 more weeks until I can change again!!!!!!] My friend was saying I changed to often and he was just reading in a magazine that it is not needed to change that often. The article stated you only need to increase your sets, weight, intensity, etc.... Wait isn't that technically change???? I like to change often or I get bored physically and mentally. I need the challenge of new workouts. My next one will come from the above book and Twisted Conditioning 1 & 2, by Bud Jeffries , I should have it done and posted in @ 2 weeks. All 3 books by the way are very good. They all give you info on incorporating different types of workouts into a program.
It was funny I was going to do a post on what items give a good workout when I received an email from John Wood of www.functionalhandstrength.com , and the email had these 3 items
1. With the necessary nutritional and physiological requirements filled progressive resistance exercise, in its many forms and manifestations, is what "works"
2. Given this fact, so will any kind of training incorporating it.
3. To improve at anything, you must begin at a manageable level and build from there.
Read these again - they are the driving forces for making any kind of training with any kind of equipment "work."
Thanks John!
By the way the quote in the title is from Carl Jung, and I guess that apllies to working out. what works for some may not work for all!
Until next time....
